Plans

I've got a lot going on after work today, so after dinner at my parents and trivia night at a local bar with friends, I'm going to try for a midnight arrival. Also, since it's only about 2 miles away, I'm going to take my first walk to a hash.

Expedition

After tying for third in trivia(our best outing yet!), I got home and made sure I was ready to go with a flashlight and had the GPS all programmed. At 23:15, I set out and enjoyed a walk in the dark through the neighborhood. I noticed a LOT of people like to watch TV with all the lights off...weird. Anyway, I made my way to the end of Lewis St and headed into the woods in order to cross a field to the hash.

I should note at this point that I went this way because when I first moved to Hamburg, someone said I could take the dogs here. I ended up in the field I was planning on crossing, but I never saw a posted sign. As this was the more direct route, I tried it, but this time(maybe because I wasn't distracted by dogs), I saw the No Trespassing signs. With less than 20 minutes to midnight, I didn't have time for an alternate route.

If I wasn't so busy after work and had time to play with, I would have tried the walk and then gone home to grab my bike and try from the north as there is a park and a baseball field there. Better luck next time.

Is it true that Pedalpusher earned the Walk Geohash?
In principle, yes.
But it's a very strict achievement requiring a successful expedition (2016-04-06 42 -78).
