Location

A wind turbine blade factory in Lemwerder near Bremen.

Participants

Plans

This geohash had a good distance for a saturday afternoon expedition.

Expedition

I rode to Lemwerder via Bookholzberg to avoid the wind, which I expected to be stronger on the Hunte. I think that helped, although there was still wind on the way to Bookholzberg. Anyway, I was in Lemwerder way faster than I expected. When I left Oldenburg at 2 pm, I thought that I can’t be in time for a saturday meetup because of the wind. (By the way, I didn’t meet other geohashers.)

At 3:45 pm I reached the gate of Carbon Rotec. Because I wasn’t allowed to go closer to the geohash, I decided to drive round it, as much as possible. I made some pictures from Lemwerder, then I took the ferry to Vegesack to get a view on the whole areal of Carbon Rotec.

On the way back home I rode via Huntebrück not to avoid the wind, as it was in the right direction now.
