Location

9 km west of Bonn in a field next to a golf course.

meliache (formerly elimik31 before the Dark Ages)

Plans

Haven't done any geohashing in multiple years (was surprised that my account didn't exist anymore after a breach / the dark ages). But this year I moved to a new city and because of the new Coronavirus, I didn't explore the city and the region too much, yet. But we're allowed to go outside and do sports (just not in groups of mroe than 2 people), so I decided I might use the weekend to try out geohashing again. This Sunday it was only 9 km way and in a possibly accessible spot, so I decided to cycle there. I took my bouldering shoes and and my chalkbag with me just in the home that I might pass a place where I might do some safe outside bouldering at low heights (the climbing gyms are closed and I am missing this new hobby of mine very much).

Expedition

Cycled there fine, everything according to plan, just took me a bit longer than expected. The journey was rather eventless, but most of the way was very pretty, partly through a forest and saw many horses because there seems to be a farm nearby. Didn't do any outside bouldering. The hash location was about 5 to 10 m into a field, but that wasn't fenced and it seemingly grew just grass and there were harvest/truck tracks nearby, so I decided it's okay to step on it carefully.
