I'd pondered before what I'd do if the geohash falls onto the airport, but I didn't expect the first one ever to either be only 25 m from the fence or be in the small part (10.6%) of the airport that is located in Norderstedt, outside of Hamburg. What a lucky location! (The hash has been inside the Lufthansa Technik sector south of the airport, which has only 15.7% its area, 3 times! It was also only 230 m south of this geohash in 2014.) At first, I wanted to go by train and bike, but found out I'd be in the area anyways with my father, sister, and sister's boyfriend by car. I managed to convince my father to take a small detour, mostly because he used to work at the airport and had even been in that northern part, right beside the hash, several times.

We parked in the Nordportbogen and walked south, first climbing a small hill to get a good view of the runway. There were many lights for the incoming planes that continued even beyond the airport and came in vertical lines of five, all fenced off. I'd never been here before and found this all very interesting. We walked on a muddy path past perfectly-mirroring ponds and then along the ''Ohemoor'' to our right. The path was relatively busy, but we only saw two small planes come in while we were there. The airport was protected by a high fence, but aside from a road and lights there was nothing in this area (I presume it's puffer zone in case airplanes land too early or can't take off and shoot past the runway). We walked along the path that kept to the fence and reached the nearest point to the hash after 570 m of walking total. It was located 26 m from the fence, behind a ditch and the road on the yellow grass. I took a few pictures, but we didn't stay long and went right back to our car, passing strollers and a rider.

Sadly, I couldn't change my timeframe or wait until meetup time at 4 pm (40 minutes later) at the hash, so that I missed MikroKosmos, who probably arrived later, for the third time.

It was sure, that the hash (N53°39.392 E010°58.308) was placed in the security-area of HAM-airport. So I just cycled there, to be outside, to do some sports and take some photos. Following a small hiking trail - outside the fence - I reached the target area at about 16 o'clock.

The high fence blocked me 28m in front of the target coordinates. 300 m behind the hash begins the landing strip. After watching some planes touching down, I cycled away.

That was my first "unreached geohash".

We walked on a muddy path past perfectly-mirroring ponds and then along the Ohemoor to our right.
