Earliest geohasher achievement

From Geohashing
Revision as of 00:51, 12 September 2008 by imported>Benson

The First Geohasher achievement can be claimed by submitting photographic (or otherwise digitally expressible) proof of being the first geohasher at an official (not alternate, not even if it's got 50 votes) geohashing meetup. The First Geohasher achievement is only awarded for meetups where more than one geohasher shows up. As this was not stated prior to 2009-09-11, some awards have been granted for single-geohasher meetups; these awards are not to be revoked.

If you arrive prior to the official meetup time (4pm local time), you're expected to make a sign or otherwise prepare the area for other geohashers. While arriving late is not encouraged, if you plan to arrive early, and arrive late due to blizzards, volcanoes, or the like, you may qualify for the MNIMB achievement. (And you may qualify for both, if the weaker ones make it at all!)
