Voting system

We are using the same system as in 2011. Each wiki user can cast a vote. We're using the Schulze method for voting and this website with whole vote IRV in case of a tie as a calculator:

  • Rank the nominated locations in order of preference, you may give the same preference to more than one location and you may choose not to rank every location
  • Post your ranking below in the format of : [loc with rank 1] > [loc with rank 2] > ... --~~~~ and use the equality sign to indicate equal preference
  • You cannot change your vote, unless a new location is nominated after you have cast your vote
  • Please only vote for locations which you can attend. This is meant to determine the best location that large numbers of people can get to.
  • Unranked places are assumed to be equal, and lower than everything else. A > B is the same as A > B > C = D = ...

Vote here

Vote here! Votes can be added or changed until Sunday, 2023-05-14 21:00 CEST (19:00 UTC)

Participants

Everyone from inside or outside of Germany is welcome! Add yourself if interested.

  • Fippe: I'd be open to go to anywhere in Germany for a larger meetup
  • π π π: I can basically go anywhere as well if it's reachable by public transport. Could do a multiple-day journey if neccessary.
  • Baarde: I’ll be free to travel too. Count me in. 👍

Maybes

  • RecentlyChanged: I'll follow the conversation, but I am not sure yet.
  • DLichti: I'm on duty until noon that day. I'll try to find a solution, but don't count on me just yet.
  • JoDaEmPa:(Hildesheim bei Hannover) Wir wollen es auch versuchen in den Terminkalender einzutragen und vielleicht auch in unserer Nähe.
  • Gefrierbrand I won't be able to travel far that day, so only if the location is relatively close to me
  • Dirimwar: Might be able to reach something in southern Germany, but so far it looks like everyone else is more up north.

Can't comes

  • Gamma (talk): I can't come; celebrating my kid's 2nd birthday. Unlikely I would have come otherwise, I'm rather shy. Thanks for the invite though Fippe!

Transportation

The Deutschlandticket, available for 49 €/month, grants access to all regional public transport, including regional trains, trams and busses. Long-distance trains like ICEs/ICs are not included. If you only want it for May, buy it before the 10th and cancel it immediately afterwards, otherwise the subscription is renewed until the end of June automatically.
