Today's Location: [Jerusalem, Israel]

The graticule (31,35) contains Jerusalem, much of the southern West Bank, the Dead Sea, and some of Jordan (including the capital, Amman).

Due to the political situation in the Middle East, it may be difficult to travel between these areas to reach geohashes. Therefore, neighbouring graticules could be a good alternative, if their geohash spot is more reachable. A better option may be the newfangled Israel graticule, which works on the whole country.

Geohashes

  • June 12th 2008 - Theoretically accessible, sitting a bit off the main street of the Mishor Adumim industrial zone, but simply doesn't seem like a fun area to go to.
  • June 14th 2008 - The Saturday meetup point falls straight in the middle of Highway #1, east of Sha'ar Ha'guy interchange. It's about 50 meters east of the point when the ramp from road #38 (coming from Beit Shemesh) joins the highway.
  • July 28th 2008 - Official spot is out in Jordan. Tired of inaccessible geohash spots I have attempted to move the location to a spot on my street (was thinking about just putting it in my house, thus winning the Couch Potato Achievement, but decided it'd be too much like cheating). So I intent to go there tonight, take a picture, and call it... something. Eh. Feels kinda disappointing.
