I'd trust your GPS more than Google; although GPS vertical precision is lower than the horizontal precision, at least the number doesn't come from an interpolated surface from relatively few baseline measurements from public surveys. Speaking of surveys, the trigonometric methods they employ are still one of the best ways to determine elevation (and you could consider GNSS to be a descendant), even with the many methods now at our disposal (accelerometric dead reckoning, barometric measurements, etc.).
