Hello

Hello all! I have attempted two geohashes now and have come up empty on both occasions. I now have a simple GPS, but still cannot range too far from home base.

A little bit about me

I am an 8th grade science teacher who loves the outdoors. I ride my bike to work and love what I do. I am the assistant coach for my school's fast pitch softball team. I have lived in the same graticule (30 -81) for most of my life so I know a lot of the area. I just hope my bike can get me where I need to go.

PS: My brothers are also in this ( Woodveil ). They beat me getting started.

Geohashes I've scouted

120px\|frameless	On 2009-01-25. My third attempt. The hash should be reachable. Will I finally reach a point? Click and read my dramatic tail.
	On 2009-01-18. Two weeks since my last attempt, I now have a simple GPS and some time on my hands. The hash was close and appears to be reachable. Click and see how it went.
	On 2009-01-02. Being very interested in completing a geohash before having to go back work I checked the coordinates right at 9:30 EST. It was only six miles away. And in a location that I thought would be easily accessible. How did it end up? Click and see.

Achievements

This user earned the No trespassing consolation prize

by almost reaching the (30, -81) geohash on 2009-01-02.

Mr. Bow Tie earned the There might be alligators! consolation prize

by being prevented from reaching the 2009-01-25/30,-81 (30, -81) geohash on date 2009-01-25 by an impassable and unforeseen Classic Florida Swamp (and probably lurking alligators).
