Huh, "war" sounds a bit strong. I see where you're going though. You won't get everyone's approval but then again not every idea has to appeal to all people ... how about "geohash battle" or even "geohash clash"? - Mampfred 13:47, 29 January 2013 (EST)

I may have introduced the term, but it was just a little taunt in a summary message of one edit, nothing to be compared with a red ribbon declaring war between two different regions of the world. I agree with Mampfred that the term is maybe a little too strong, and would encourage to find something that doesn't bear the risk to hurt feelings.
