From Geohashing
Revision as of 14:59, 1 April 2009 by 24.83.1.77 (talk) (Yesterday would have been a good day to start an endurance geohash.)
This is a project to show the difficulty of geohashing in Vancouver. All distances are one-way from Robyn's house, in roughly the middle of Vancouver. Driving times are from Google Maps. Cycling times allow 20 km/h. Walking allows 8 km/h on good trails ranging down to 400 m in an hour in dense bush with poor footing. Kayaking is 5 km/h, which accepts that we aren't very good at kayaking and includes an allowance for launching.
