Kieran caught a lift in the evening, down Yackandandah way...
My GPS was playing up, but it was a gimme for an old school pen and paper hash. The hash point itself fell in the middle of a dam, and the paddock the dam was located in had what appeared to be several unique landmarks, according to google maps at least.
I found the paddock without a hitch. But as I walked out from the road, I realised I'd run into a bit of a problem. There was more than one dam in that paddock, there were half a dozen of various shapes and sizes. Two seemed to fall in the right general area. To be on the safe side I walked to both, and I eventually decided that the second dam was the geohash point (because the awful water colour matched the printout from google maps).
Anyway, here are some photos of the paddocks, the cows that kept following me around, the various small bodies of water, and the occasional kangaroo.
It was a fun trip.

Upon having another look at google maps and my photos, I'm confident that the second dam was indeed the geohash point. I don't really qualify for a water geohash, because I refused to get my feet wet (nothing like a long walk back to the car with muddy feet!)
Fun times all round.
