Manu and Reinhard
Reinhard was visiting Manu in Leipzig today, and the Leipzig hash seemed to be too nice to leave it out. It was placed at the edge of a soccer field in Miltitz which is a suburb of Leipzig. This would mean: No bushwhacking! No climbing! No mud and nettles! No ticks!
Manu and Reinhard went there by bike - it was going to be Manu's first geohash (and third ride) with her brand-new road bike! Not much to say about the ride itself, only that cycling through big cities like Leipzig can be somewhat annoying. The soccer field emerged as belonging to the SV (Sportverein = sports club) Grün-Weiß (green white) Miltitz and was fenced, but the door near the club restaurant was opened. There wasn't any "no trespassing" sign to be seen and, hence, they both went in. The hashpoint lay on well-cut grass a few meters besides the playing field. Reinhard took some photos together with Bugs whose first geohashing expedition this one has become and after that they all went back to Manu's home on a different way (altogether 31 km).
Awards
