The hashpoint in our main graticule 49 8 seemed to be unreachable as it was located in a private garden surrounded by fences, so we decided to visit the hashpoint in 49 9 to get to Level 2 of our Minesweeper Achievement. No further planning was done. Euterkuh was ordered to bring along table tennis rackets to each expedition but was too lazy to do so this time, thinking we wouldn't find a table anyway.

Expeditions

We went to Bödigheim by train, where, of course, we immediately found a ping-pong table. We went round in circles for a while without finding a decent path until we decided to go straight through the woods. There was a magnificent castle nearby, so Euterkuh was afraid the Lord of the manor might find and shoot us for trespassing his land. After a short period of time, which was filled with Euterkuh's whining, we stumbled upon a tarred country lane that brought us close to the hashpoint. All we had to do was walking a hundred meters onto a fallow acre. This time, Euterkuh was afraid of the farmer finding and shooting us. So we hurried to the point, took some photos and left, forgetting to leave a marker. On the way back, we ate some sour apples from the trees. fivetonsofflax also tried some mirabelles and other unknown (but tasty) fruits. Heading back, we found out that the road was actually leading directly from the station to the hashpoint. We had about an hour before our train would arrive, and since we couldn't spend it playing ping-pong, we went to the next pub (we were actually hoping to get a pub achievement, but it was not in the line of sight to the hashpoint. The beer was good anyway).
