Google maps has this Geohash point on the corner of the street right at a Fire hydrant. It looked very easy to get to. I decided that I should take this hash point. I started out from work right at 5pm. It started to rain very heavy through the center of Atlanta which brought the traffic to a stop.

It took forever to get through Atlanta and almost decided to call it off because the traffic was also for the Atlanta Braves Baseball game who were playing the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Braves did win the game. Yea Braves! But as I made it through Atlanta and to the southern end of Atlanta traffic started to ease up as well as the rain.

I made it to Tara Blvd which is another major road to the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Then traffic was about 10 miles an hour for about 5 to 6 miles. It took forever and a day. I was wondering how far south away from Atlanta I would have to go to get out of Atlanta Rush out traffic.

After I passed the Atlanta Motor Speedway[1], traffic finally eased up. It was a speed limit ride from then on into Griffin. I followed my eTrex through the streets of Griffin right to the Geohash point.

I got out of my truck and knocked on the door. I thought that I should even though that the hash point was probably on the right-of-way and not on their actual property. As I walked up to the front door of the house, I noticed that Google maps was off and not at the fire hydrant it was point at on the map.

A nice woman of Hispanic decent answered the door. I asked if she spoke English and she shook her head "No". I do speak Spanish although very broken. I do speak enough to communicate. I explained that I didn't know enough Spanish to explain why I was there but I did tell her that I wanted to take a picture of my machine(eTrex) at a point on the map and pointed to where the eTrex was pointing.

She spoke every fast and I caught that she told me to "Take a tree and stick it on my head and see for dogs". Well at least I think that is what she said. I caught the "Dogs" part and saw that she was shaking her head "Yes". A head shake "Yes" in Spanish does translate to a head shake "Yes" in English.

I asked her if her dogs barked in "Spanish". She looked at me, smiled and said "Tu divertido". I smiled and and said "Thanks" in English and went to take a few pictures.

I found the hash point only about 3 feet off of the side walk. I took a couple of pictures. I raised my hand as I walked back to my truck and said "Thanks!" one more time. She then went inside. I took one more picture of the house and then drove back to Norcross.
