On Wednesday 2009-12-30. This was my first official geohash! Just stumbled across this wiki the other day and didn't know there was such a following. I had gone to one geohash before but that was a long time ago and I plan to make my visits a little bit more frequent now that I have an account and all. Made it to the exact spot at around 15:00 local time. I am now hooked. Can't wait for the next one that is close enough. It was a bit chilly, nearly below zero degrees fahrenheit, And only a 100 ft or so off the road right in the middle of a corn field, just south of an acreage. The snow was a good two feet deep the whole way, so it wasn't easy, but I had to get to ground zero! Will post a pic or two when I get them off my G1.
