Location
According to Google Maps, the location is "9306-9678 Hwy 7A, Port Moody, BC V3H, Canada" a mere 7km from my place. I need to get to work, but I will be swinging by there on the way home tonight, roughly 7PM local time. Without a GPS unit I can not get more specific than using this information, it looks like the coordinates are just a short way off the road and the satellite view does not show anything that would stop a better-equipped hasher from reaching the point.

Cut out of work around 6 and head up that way. If not for the fact that I live on a cul-de-sac I would qualify for the Tron ribbon. I'll have to look at the details for that one when I get back, I'm going to be late already. I will go 700m west from N Road which should put me more or less due north of the target and walk a couple minutes south into the woods I suppose. Dunno. --MistStlkr 14:32, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ugh, I was hoping for a Burnaby Mountain Hash for a very long time, but not for that section :( I'm positive that Google maps has labelled "North Rd" in error: that is a private road inside a petro refinery station that is no accessible to the public. The closest approach would be to park on the shoulder of Barnett Hwy (there is a place you can do that there) and bushwhack straight south and uphill to the point; you will need to be traveling on the east bound lane to get at that wide shoulder. Unfortunately, underbrush is very thick until you are a decent ways into the forest. There are no maintained trails in that section of the mountain; the nearest one is 400 or 500m to the east. -Yangman 16:00, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- In that case I may be ill prepared. I've not been to that part of the world yet, the google directions looked pretty straight-forward. My planned approach is to take Boundary north to Hastings, go east to Barnet via Inlet, pull over about 700m east of the road before the hash point. Google has that road labeled as "N Road" not specifically North Road, but I'm not familiar with it myself. Then hike a bit south. On the map I'd judge it to be roughly 150m-200m south of Barnet, using the 700m from N Road to a point due north as the basis for guestimating the scale on the map. As far as I know [VERY limited knowledge] that route is entirely open to the public except perhaps the short trek into the woods. We'll have to see I guess! My next phone better have GPS. LOL Maybe I'll have to settle for one of those GPS watches from Costco or something. Nasty weather for a walk today. --MistStlkr 17:30, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

- Shame. I don't plan to make an attempt, but was thinking of swinging by around 7 to see if you'd attempt to bushwhack it. No GPS here either, and I don't want to go disturbing the underbrush unnecessarily. -Yangman 00:45, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
