Beginning the Expedition
I have not been hashing in over 3 months, but there is good reason for this. Not only did my car abandon me--forcing me to look elsewhere for that support--but my employer sued for divorce and my bank account developed a life-threatening illness. My living quarters have been non-committal for months now and a stable relationship between real estate and myself seems a long time in coming.
However. I managed to maintain a modicum of sanity, and what with my new-found relationship with the UTA bus system, I am now able to once again visit far away places like the corner drugstore and the Smiths across the street. It was the comfort of this closeness that made me fear leaving my comfort zone, and so I spent the last three months waiting for the hash to come to me. And it did. It landed just off the main road not a mile from campus. Literally 20 feet from my bus stop.
And so I went
A second spared
This was the easiest and quickest hash I have ever done. Once I decided to do the hash, I got up off the common's couch, opened the door, walked a couple dozen feet to the bus stop, and stood still while waiting for it to come.
I waited no more than five minutes before I was able to hop on and ride 20 minutes down the road, at which point I got up off the bus's seat, asked the driver to open the door, walked a couple dozen feet to the hash, and stood still while taking a couple of pictures of the point.
