Since its Mother's Day and there are family plans in the afternoon, Wyle elected to forgo the scheduled hike with friends and do a shorter outing to one of the local geohash spots. Today's turned out to be right in one of the local hiking areas and only about 200 meters off the trail in Bird Canyon. It was just a little scramble up the wash and then about 10 meters out of the wash ... and 10 meters up.
Even though the temp was a bit warm (90F/27C) towards the end of the 2 hour jaunt, it was nice to see all the cactus starting to bloom and lizards scurrying about.
On the way out, I crossed paths with a hiking friend I haven't seen in a year. Nice to see he's back in town.
