Expedition

Great weather. Started out early. The map did show a wet area where the geohashe would be (in the middle of a swamp). I expected the worst and took my wellingtons on. Drove the car as close as possible, but had to walk through some fenced in areas and jump over some small creeks before I got to the forest road which would lead me closer to the geohashe. While getting nearer (165 m) I had to divert from the road and walk to the swamp. As I expected there was some really wet and swampy areas to cross. I had to try to get in there! While slowly walking through the muddy water I felt the bottom disappear and made a quick jump onto a small piece of land. Unfortunately one foot got under the water, even if the wellington was up to my knee :-( Poured the water out, luckily it was still warm water and I didn't freeze. Still had 63 meters to go, and pushed through and suddenly a road unveils in the middle of the swamp (wasn't on the GPS map)!? Luckily I got onto the road and found out that the geohashe was on the road :-) Walked the road back and forth to find a easier way out, I discovered that it led to a nearby house, which inhabitants I didn't want to disturb. I walked back to the other end and managed to escape the swamp with less effort this time. I managed to find a lot of edible mushrooms on the road and nearby forest which I brought home to eat later in the evening.

Update: Later I added the road found in the forest to openstreetmap and added the map to this expedition, earning a Openstreetmap achievement.
