Part II of my geohashing expedition on Sasha and my way home from the Grampians. See the first here. This hash involved driving towards Ballan, but turning north just in time. With 750m to go, the narrow road passed the hash point so we parked and jumped the fence for it.

Sasha was having doubts about the whole trespassing thing, so, after 250m of wading through itchy knee high grass and avoiding spiders and the farmhouse, she turned to go back. I continued, clambouring over another two fences, both electric, through another wheat field and finally into a paddock with cows. As I approached the hash I realised that the cows were actually right ON the hash so I stopped. The cows stood up and stared at me. I looked at them, they looked at me. Slowly I stepped forward. They did nothing. I stepped forward again. The cows all got startled and fled, mooing. Luckily there were no bulls.

I quickly took my photos and got out. The startled cows' lowing had by this stage alerted the farmhouse dog, which barked loudly. I was afraid the farmers would wake up and come get me. Flaunting this fear I walked out along the farm path towards the house, right past the dog and through the main gate to my waiting girlfriend. We drove off, ramming a hedge to get petrol on the way home in time for a family dinner party. No farmers, dogs or cows were hurt in the production of this geohash.

Here is the Google Maps route I took.
