Plans
After school let out, I noticed how close the coordinates for the day were. I attend a school in Argyle, one town east of Justin.
Expedition
Like I said, I noticed how close the coordinates were after school. My step-brother, Gerry, who was taking me home, agreed to take a detour to reach the coordinates. It was about 5 in the afternoon when we left the school. We reached Justin about 20 minutes later, and, after a couple of helpful open gates, we were on a gravel road headed toward the spot. It was very close to FM 156, but the only way onto the property was via a half mile long gravel road stemming from FM 407. When we reached the point on the gravel road closest to the coordinates, I realized that I had misjudged how far into the neighboring wheat field they were. Gerry made the unadventurous (and, retrospectively, safer) decision to stay with the car on the road and I began wading through the thigh-high grain to the hash, which my app said was ~450 feet away. It was then that I began to regret wearing shorts to school that day. Five long minutes later, I had reached the coordinates. Luckily, I was able to get in and out without a single snakebite, but I think the same can't be said of mosquito bites. As a post-hash celebration, we went and saw The Avengers in 3D. By the way, great movie. Overall, a great adventure and successful expedition.
