I checked the coordinates at about noon, and left an hour later after eating.

Expedition

It has been over 3 months since I had a successful hash. I had attempted no fewer than 4 times (two written about on the wiki, two which I didn't get anywhere close to), the most recent one being yesterday in Winters. Starstruck with the possibility of Minesweeper and Drag along achievements, I took off, though it was close to dark, I had little battery on my phone, and it was 18 miles away. I got to 505 and Road 27 before chickening out. I decided that the next time I geohash, I would plan it better.

The geohashing Gods must have heard me, as the next day there was a geohash just 7 miles away. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to go. Classes haven't started yet, so it was completely doable.

I took the West Davis bike path across the Highway 113 overcrossing, then took Sycamore down to Russell. I cut through UC Davis to La Rue by Academic Surge, then went down the bike path that runs parallel to Old Davis Road. I took Old Davis down, past Becker to its end on Tremont, then took a left. The hashpoint was in a grove of trees on Tremont 2 miles east of Old Davis, between Eggert and Bulkley. I parked my bike there, and walked into the orchard until I reached the hashpoint. This has been, to date, the easiest geohash I've done.
