I've been meaning to try Geohashing for a while now - and what better day to start than on New Years Day!
Armed with my trusty GPS, I set off with my rickerty old car into the unknown. The geohash is just a few meters walk from the road, so after driving past it completely (and rather scaring a bunch of off-duty volunteer fireys I found around the corner), I was soon parked up on the verge. After donning my bushwalking boots (for effect), I strode mightilly into the bush - only to find that this geohash is in a pond, behind a fence.
To make up for the not-quite-perfect coordinates, I went to the zoo instead.
