Our parking spot.

We continued from today's first hashing attempt towards north. Having driven 375 km from our place of stay in Espoo, we were near the hashpoint of 62, 27 in Leppävirta. We found a parking place for our car, look at that, beside an ice hockey rink. This suited the theme of this journey as well as Wife alongside Pastori.

There remained some 450 meters of walking. The walk was easy, because we could travel by trail which was in winter time a skiing track. We had to go against the signs forbidding walking on the skiing trail, though. Finally a short distance through a hay field to the point. We could locate it precisely.

That way?

The Sun was still shining and the birds were furiuosly singing, "spring in their chests" (a Finnish saying). Pastori and The Wife had similar feelings.

Finally a suggestion from Pastori to the International Ice Hockey Federation concerning new kind of ice hockey goals. You see, in ice hockey scoring a goal is sometimes too difficult because of too large goalies having too good skills and/or players who couldn't hit a barn with their shots. See the picture attached, which speaks on its behalf. Note also the new recommended size of the goalie stick.

Our return journey was 596 km and 12 hours. To go the other way it took 590 km and 9,5 hours. It seems, that when one gets older, the pace seems to slow down.
