Plans

Add to our greatness. After our flight back I checked the coordinates when we had wifi again- and, would you believe it, the coordinates for our home graticule lay just three miles from home in a field, according to Google maps. How could we not go there?

Expedition

We went to have a bite at a local Kebab house and then drove onto the rural road leading to the hash coordinates. When we reached a sign prohibiting motor vehicles from advancing we stopped and easily walked the remaining 400 metres. The only difficulty was a small river flowing in a bed of concrete and the fact that the hash lay behind it in the forest, not on the fields. The river bed was rather steep and Yakamoz didn't want to go, so I had to jump it without slipping on the other side and fall into the river. Once that was managed, there was just another 10m to go and I was there.

When I jumped back again and we wanted to take the stupid grin shot, we realized that we had already taken the camera's battery out to charge it, so there's no real photo documentation. Still, after the virgin Malta expeditions(here and there), we now had a multiple hash achievement. Yay!

Has anyone ever reached two graticules with some 1800km distance between them in one day? Rincewind at least is very proud. :)
