Plans

We plan to arrive by bicycle at around 8pm, and look around. The time/place should coincide with the protests this evening, so we're thinking about merging with the protesters after that.

Expedition

The expedition log is rather dull:

Starting point: Dianabad, Sofia
19:50: Hop on the bikes, let's go.
20:20: After a quick descent through the Gardens of Boris, we reached the destination.

This has was incredibly easy to reach. You could've done it with any means of transportation you wanted. You could have used public transportation. On bike. On foot. You could've reached it with a wheelchair. If you lived in the blocks across it, you could've reached it juggernaut-style. It was no contest. What's interesting is something else.

The hash is located on an open grass area, a few meters aside from the sidewalk, between a bush and a flower bed. It's also around 5 meters to the Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Blvd. As you may or may not know, there are some protests going on here during the past five days, as we want to overthrow our corrupt government. The protest procession today was around 10-15 thousand people, and, same as the previous days, it did a tour around the iconic places of the city. At some point, the 10-15k people were marching from Orlov Most square to the NDK building, walking along Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi, passing 5 meters away from the hash. See the photos.

I don't know what the geohashing community thinks about such a thing. The hashpoint was practically visited by thousands of people. It was not a Puppet Master geohash, it was not a Most people at a geohash (since the people didn't visit it knowingly). I vote for a Crowded Geohash Award, or a Riot award :)
