Expedition
Pastori and The Wife had received one of their sons with his wife to visit them. The day's geohashpoint was only 7,5 km as the bird flies, so they definitely had to visit that. Pastori managed to drag along their summer guests by suggesting they might also check if the bilberries are already ripe.
The point was once again in the midst of great forest ranges, but nearest road was only about 100 m from the point. We drove about 15 km to that place and then hit the forest. Some mosquito equipment on and on to trudging! Surprisingly the base of the forest was soft moss and therefore relatively easy to walk. A mandatory photo shoot moment on the point, and the point was conquered! Son and his wife managed to get only a few mosquito stings.
Pastori had an idea that they would go back by using small shortcut roads. We manage to drive the "shortcut" without major damage to the car, the speed being about 10-20 km/h. The distance traveled was 25 km, it was thus 10 km longer than the "normal way" and definitely longer than Pastori had thought. Well, never mind that, we saw in the forest that there are no bilberries around here. The frost night (about -5°C) in the middle of June had destroyed the crop of wild berries in our neighborhood.
Tomorrow is The Wife's birthday, let's see if we can manage to get a birthdayhashpoint!
