There's a lot of talk about it, but I don't think anyone is really going to go.

Tomorrow (Tuesday's) globalhash isn't too far west of Boise... if I'd noticed it this morning and had the day free I might have tried to drive down there. But you should go for it! -- OtherJack (talk) 01:54, 24 September 2013 (EDT)

I noticed that this morning, and I'm seriously considering it, though it will depend somewhat on whether or not I can get off work at a reasonable time. --Eldin (talk) 01:58, 24 September 2013 (EDT)
Well I hope it works out! Still bummed that I didn't notice it until now (11pm night before...) -- OtherJack (talk) 02:04, 24 September 2013 (EDT)
Seconded - I *just* sat down to look at that, after checking that today's geohash was too far off the normal route much earlier. An 834 mile round trip would have been more tempting this morning. I'll bet there's a great view of comet ISON in the dark middle of Oregon. --Thomcat (talk) 02:15, 24 September 2013 (EDT)
Yeah, I was just about to ask you whether you noticed this too... -- OtherJack (talk) 02:22, 24 September 2013 (EDT)
It's about a 450 mile round trip for me, but it's the first globalhash I've noticed since I started geohashing which has been realistically possible to reach. Though it stretches the bounds of practicality on a weekday. --Eldin (talk) 02:40, 24 September 2013 (EDT)
Yeah. I've got the same problem, but coming from the other direction. 6 hours of driving. But it is tempting.... Jiml (talk) 02:43, 24 September 2013 (EDT)

Well, I was still considering trying to get off work early to go for this when I left this morning, but work held onto me until late enough that it was questionable whether I could even have reached the hash before midnight. --Eldin (talk) 02:10, 25 September 2013 (EDT)
Darn... -- OtherJack (talk) 02:31, 25 September 2013 (EDT)

Looking forward to meeting you on an upcoming geohash (in Vancouver WA or Lewiston ID) soon! --Thomcat (talk) 01:37, 26 September 2013 (EDT)
