First expedition of 2014.
This is not far from my home as in I am home today. The US is under artic air at the moment and hasn't seen it this cold in 20 years. I do have my son today who stayed in the van with my older brother. Neither wanted to get out because of the cold.
I was on my way to do other things and I was passing down the road that was only 100 yards(meters) or so out of my way. Google maps has the actual spot on an empty lot but I didn't know how recent google maps was.
When I got to the Geohash spot there was a house there. I knocked on the door and a young guy answered the door. I gave the short explanation of Geohashing and asked if he minded if I took a few pictures. He said that was fine.
I walked to near the spot, the real spot turned out to be inside the house. I am sill inside the 10 meter requirement. I took a few pictures of my GPS and a few pictures of the surrounding area.
I then snapped a picture of me outside my van with my older brother sitting inside the van.
We then went on our way.
