Expedition
The Plan
On Muirwood road, about ten minutes off I-20. I'm already heading to Atlanta for a work conference, so I figure if I might as well get a distant geohash while I'm out there.

The big question I had in attempting this one was "will I even feel like it when I get there?" We just stumbled through a move to a new place, and the movers were coming by the morning I was going to leave. Erica was fine supervising the movers, so I left a bit late around 10:00.
As it turned out, I made absolutely amazing time - due to arrive in Alanta by 2:30! So amazing that, since hotel check-in wasn't until 4:00, it was actually beneficial for me to go drive 40 minutes out of my way and back so I'm not sitting around waiting. I saw a few amazing things by my standards; an abandoned building, collapsed in the back with a tree growing through the window, and a ranch with a cow with a salt lick and a sheep just lazing about right by the road by the fence. Unfortunately, I decided to get those pictures on the way back, and when that happened, the animals left, leaving me with a missed opportunity. Fortunately, the building did not get up and walk away, so I got that picture just fine.
The geohash itself was unremarkable. A brand new subdivision, right on the road... nothing to write home about. I didn't have my staple gun, so I found a tree nearby that had some holes in the bark and fit the Ace of Diamonds in there.

I would take the XKCD-100 Honorable Mention, but 356 of the 400 miles driven to the geohash were going to be driven anyway, so it's not like I did it solely for the hash.
