Expedition
The Plan
Inside a strip mall parking lot. There's a restaurant nearby, so we'll stop by for lunch.
The Geohashers
The Adventure
I'm not dead! Geohashes have been hard to come by the last three months, but the day after my birthday, luck is shining!
More GPS troubles by the time we got there. The driving GPS wouldn't acquire satellites, one of the geohashing apps couldn't get my location, and while the last one worked, it's never been quite accurate enough as I'd like it to be. While standing on the geohash, it said I was on the other side of the parking lot. It was small, so fair enough, but it's still a touch annoying. Took the screenshot from that and continued on.
For us, the real draw was the Mudville Grill, as it was lunch time and we were hungry. Decent sports bar, decent food. I might have tried for the pint at the geohash achievement, except I still had to get back to work. When we sat down, some of the TVs were showing a golf tournament at TPC Sawgrass. And I must say I was rather amused when I saw a familiar building with a grey roof.
After eating, we left the Jack of Diamonds on a tree and went back home.
