Well Juja was too busy being a Öntö so she did not have the time to visit yesterday's point in 50 10 as I promised on Saturday. And even today she did not have the time for hashpoints, very confusing. So once again it was my task. For a short moment I thought about aiming the Puppet Master achievement, because the point lay just 100 meters beside a bike path a colleague of mine – let’s call him Dr. T. S. – uses every day for driving from home to work and back again. But I discarded this idea because the last 100 meters looked like typical last 100 meters of a geohash expedition usually look.

So I started after work myself. After 1 km I heard a voice behind me asking: “What are you doing here?” It was Dr. T. S. on his way home.

How to explain geohashing?

I started this way: “Do you remember Juja’s crazy points?”. Lucky I am as he remembered. So there was no need to start from the very beginning. While driving to Isserstedt I explained how to mix the current date, the Dow Jones and MD5 to end up in the brush near his home.

He, on the other hand, listed the possible options where to leave the bike path into the forest. But, at the end, the best option was to follow the bike path as long as it lay just beside the road.

Here we parted. He went home; I entered the dirt road into the forest. After five minutes the path was blocked by a tree. But lucky again, this was just the place where I had to leave the path into the brush. So I parked my bike and started crawling through the stinging nettles to find the point, dancing as always in the forest. By following his dance I got a 1 meter shot and of course forgot to enable the coordinates in the display. But believe me, the flag was the target.
