A meadow(?) near Karlsruhe

Go there by bike, make a short visit and return by train from Karlsruhe main station. No idea when I will arrive, probably in the early afternoon. But as long as no other hasher announces his coming, that's not so important.

Expedition

This was an easy one. I was in a hurry, as I couldn't start before half past one and had to be at home at five pm.But the weather was fine, and hardly any wind (and if, it came from the rear). So I came quickly to Germersheim. The way along the rhine was closed because of high water in Germersheim, but as a lot of people (and bikes) came towards me I decided to try anyway and the way was useable (although the water was just 10 - 20 cm lower than the way). From there to Wörth is a beautiful ride along the dike. I crossed the rhine at the bridge of Karlsruhe. I never used this bridge by bike before, and so I was surprised how broad and comfortable the bike path is. From there I had to cross some industrial area, what was fine, as there was no traffic on sunday.

Soon I reached the meadow with the hashpoint. It was open and easy accessible. Where I parked my bike (30 m from the hash) I found some blackberries and couldn't resist to have some, but that's obviously not enough for a picnic achievement.

From there I hurried on to Karlsruhe main station. The way leads along a small river with many other people biking. I came along "Das Fest" a very big rock music event in Karlsruhe, which is quite famous around here. What a pity that I had to move on. I reached the station at 15:15 and got a train at 15:25. With change in Graben-Neudorf I reached home at 16:25.
