Expedition

It was a very foggy day.

In the middle of the autumn mists, Pastori came to think what kind of geohashpoints would there be in the middle parts of Sweden or Norway? Well, from reflection to action. Gathering luggage and loading them into the car, without forgetting The Wife with her camera. And look at that, already when leaving home we noticed that there was a hashpoint nearby, in the Rantasalmi-graticule. The point was near a road, and it only meant taking a 30 km detour.

The visit was successful, and now the minesweeper around our home graticule is complete! From the actual spot there is not much to tell. It was about 20 m from the road, in a pine forest and blueberry moor, about as easy as a point can be.

Beautiful spiderwebs were nicely visible because of the moisture in the air.

We then continued our trip to Kuopio to see our grandchild. Tonight we will reach Espoo, then tomorrow evening we will take the car ferry from Turku to Stockholm. From there we will go whereever it was we were going. Stop back later to see what we will find.

Achievements

Pastori completed the Minesweeper Geohash achievement by visiting coordinates in Nilsiä, Finland and all of the surrounding graticules.

Pastori earned the Graticule Unlocked Achievement by being the first to reach any hashpoint in the (62, 28) graticule, here, on 2014-09-11.

Pastori, The Wife earned the Land geohash achievement by reaching the (62, 28) geohash on 2014-09-11.
