From his previous hashpoint Pastori was in a major hurry to catch the car ferry to Sweden. He managed that and reached Stockholm. Then he drove to Åre in the middle of Sweden, distance of about 600 km. The whole week spent in the beautiful red and yellow autumn colors was very nice, but all the hashpoints nearby were very inconveniently behind long stretches of roadless wilderness and mountains. With Pastori's knees and The Wife's hips they had no business there. One odd wandering we had, once again dipping ourselves into the world of geocaching. The translator and editor of our texts, Tilley, gave us a travelbug that was specifically going into Trondheim, Norway. After a bit of difficulties, we made the delivery! Hooray us!

Pastori does not fear thickets!

Trip to home started, and we noticed, that the hashpoint in the Umeå-graticule was right beside the major highway E4. After 400 km of driving, our car satnav guided us nicely to only 100 m distance of the hashpoint. Then Pastori activated his own cell phone, and the more precise approach started. By walking along the village road we got to about 20 meters from the point. Then we would have had to push ourselves into the thicket that looked almost inpassable. Pastori, however, didn't hesitate a bit. Wife stayed behind to photograph and to listen the events. With huge clatter and noise, cracking barren trees with his bare hands, Pastori trudged towards the hashpoint. The Wife photographed towards the sound. There, in the middle of the thicket, the point was surprisingly found with a 2 meters accuracy. Screenshot from the app, some pictures of the neighborhood, and back. So was Sweden conquered, at least in the form of one geohashing graticule! Last autumn, on our long European trip, we were so eager to get to the south that only in Denmark we stopped for a hashpoint and missed Sweden altogether.

Our journey continued towards the ferry terminal in Umeå, and from there back home to Finland. Most likely for the next few weeks, Pastori and The Wife will stay near their own graticule.
