We had all met for Dim Sum, as we do once or twice a year. During the conversation it came out that Sam had just obtained his driver's license. I took the opportunity to point out that today's hashpoint was only a few miles away, and it would be a good excuse for a little practice driving, and I just happened to have a map printed out... Pat already knew a little about geohashing because I had tried to drag him along on 2014-02-07 42 -85 a year or so ago. The group agreed to go.
This was a trivially easy expedition, with the hashpoint in the parking lot of a thrift store (closed on Sunday), at the southern edge of the underutilized Big Rapids graticule. It was cool because of the breeze but the sun was out and the temperature was a little above freezing.
