Planning

  • Danatar: It is not far from my place. I will go there, on foot or by bike, either in the morning (around 09:30) after the night shift or in the evening (around 19:00) before the next night shift or in between, depending on how tired I am.

Expedition

Danatar

In the morning I was much too tired to do anything besides staggering home to my bed, I even slept well for 7 hours. When I woke up I put on my jogging equipment and started around 5 pm. I ran through the Großer Garten, then along a street that crossed the railway track and straight ahead. After a while I noted that I must have taken a wrong street, because in my planned route for a tron route there certainly were no dead ends. After jogging in a loop to salvage the tron I found that I was already much nearer to the hashpoint than I thought, I was already on the road that the hashproperty was on. Two or three minutes later I entered the compound from the south, turned around the corner of the last house and arrived near the spot. I could see the garage, the playground and the large table that was next to the hashpoint. I had to change the batteries of my camera before I could turn it on (the day before it still worked. Even without using my old camera the battery is empty after 2 weeks, so I always have the spare battery with me when using it), then I took the last steps to the spot. The GPS unit showed the correct coordinates directly next to the garage, but luckily still outside of it.

My plan was to write "the internet was here" on the garage wall and I even had chalk with me, but since there were people having dinner on a balcony of the house I didn't do it. I had to end the tron route at the hashpoint because there was only one small track leading to the spot. My next plan was to leave the compound by the back gate, but that was closed so I left the way I had come. On my route home I ran through an allotment garden and through the Großer Garten again, I arrived home about one hour after setting out. I took a shower, had breakfast and went to work again.
