Tired but still going.

(Today's third hashpoint attempt. The first.)

Pastori and Wife drove towards the north through the rain, hoping it wouldn't hinder their master achievement, a third successful hashpoint in one day. Around the city of Sodankylä there were no less than two hashpoints, but Pastori and Wife were heading towards the western Unari-Luusua -graticule. The point lay about 350 metres from the road and the terrain wasn't exactly easy.

At first there was a firmer path but then they reached the swamp that was barely holding their weight. Pastori went first showing the way for Wife and instructing her to try and step lightly. Even an unsteady swamp will hold a person's weight just as long as you walk fast enough and don't stop unncesessarily. To calm the readers let it be said that the path to the point was only treacherous for about 50 metres. At least there was some excitement. The hashpoint itself was on a drier, slightly elevated ground which grew pine trees. This marvellous achievement was crowned with an accuracy of 0,977 metres. Pastori was incredibly happy, the hat trick was complete! 3 hashpoints in one day. To give themselves a reward, Pastori and Wife rented themself a cottage with their own sauna for the night. Tomorrow seems to be a day of rest, because all the points in the neighbouring graticules are in the wilderness or on fells and thus too difficult to reach. But, you never know.
