Nowadays, it's not so easy for a man to go on a playground, but I will come close to the point. Let's see, how close I can get.

Drive to the Lampertheim with the bike, try to get as close as possible to the hash location.

I had to drive little girl to the north this morning and on my way back to work I passed the hashpoint by 5 KM. To tempting, not to try. So I left the Autobahn in Mannheim- Sandhofen and drove to Lampertheim. I followed the arrow of my garmin until it points orthogonal to the road. There was a parking space on the small road and when I looked in the pointed direction I saw a high fence and the orange roof that I've seen on google. I could hear a lot of children and saw some movement through the fence, so I guess, there's a Kidergarden (yes, I've googled that, it's the Kindergarden of the catholic parish of Lampertheim). The hash wasn't reachable so obviously that I did not even get out of the car. I started again and continued my way to work. The whole detour costed me not more than 25 minutes.

My today's bike tour to the hashpoint was a bit longer than usual. I started in Darmstadt and took a path along Pfungstadt-Hahn, Klein-Rohrheim, Groß-Rohrheim, Biblis, Bobstadt and Bürstadt (mostly places I have never been before..). After 42 kilometers on my bike, I arrived close to the hashpoint in Lampertheim at about 2pm. I approached the property of the daycare from behind. The orange awning was clearly visible from this place (see pictures). Two workers were mowing the lawn around the playground which was surrounded by fences. Apparently, the children were playing inside the house. After taking some refreshments, I then decided to try my luck. I rang the doorbell, the door opened and they let me in. After shortly talking to a kind woman about my intention, she admitted that I can go to the playground. I quickly took the GPS proof screenshot, took a photo, thanked her and went away again. I didn't expect that it would be that easy! I'm very sorry for DODO that he did not reach the hash.

I knew from a former visit of Lampertheim that there is a great ice cream shop in the city center. After such a bike tour and successful expedition I definitely had deserved some ice cream! So I drove to the ice cream shop "Kurt Oberfeld" where I enjoyed a nice Schwarzwaldbecher. Afterwards I walked through the city center and took photos of two churches and the old town hall.

For the way back I had chosen to drive to Hemsbach, from where I could take the train back to Darmstadt. On my way to Hemsbach I stopped at a field of sun flowers to take some more pictures. The sky was cloudy most of the day so far, only when I waited for the train back to Darmstadt the sun came out. Bad luck.. Okay, the rest of the trip turned out so well, so I have no reason to complain. All in all, I cycled about 65km for this expedition.
