Location

The hash lay on the fieldway passing the motorway rest area Wewelsburg on the southern side.

On Sunday evening: hitchhiking to the area and spending some hours in the nearby shelter.

On Monday morning: lookong to the lunar eclipse from the hash.



I left home at 17:00 and at the Wilhelmshöhe junction I started to hitchhike at 18:05. After a waiting of 45 minutes I got a lift to the northern side of the rest area Wewelsburg. I arrived there at 19:24. I walked to the service way exit and found a geocache. Then I walked to the shelter in the fields north of the motorway and took some first photos of the moon.

I found the shelter, prepared for the night and had a last view to the moon at this early night time.

I awoke a little bit too late. I walked over the motorway and reached the hash. Easy. The hash was on the green at the northern side of the fieldway. Here on the left.

As you can see, I arrived at the hash five minutes too late for the beginning of the eclips, which started at 3:07. Then I took some photos of the eclipse.

This is the last photo of my camera. It died. So I have no photos of the total darkness. I was awake until the end.

In the morning I took two photos with my mobile phone of the surroundings.
