Plans

Finally I'm able to go geohashing again! I don't know when I will be able to leave, either in the morning or evening. I will take the bike and visit the spot! First hash after months!

Expedition

Yes, I did this one, and it was great. I started in the general direction of the hash and I think I almost got the perfect way by chance. But it took me longer then expected, I wasn't there before sunset and I heard some strange noises in the wood. It is possible that the sounds were from boars. A hunter (friend of mine) told me, that at the moment the population is exploding. That is because in higher regions the farmers started to grow corn, which can't get ripe in our regions, but it can be sold to biogas plants. They are a perfect source of food for the boars and they can give birth to more then 10 little boars a year. The winters a mild, so they all survive.

So yes, I probably heard boars and even think that I saw one at another place. If you ever encounter boars, go up, he told me, they are way worse at climbing then at running.

Back to the hashing, I left my bike on the track and walked into the forest, the hash was on the side of a clearing. A clearing to feed and shoot wild animals. I made noise on purpose so I would neither be shot or attacked. After I took some pictures I went back on the track, retrieved the bike which I had shoved about 20 meters from the position where I had left the track and made my way back home.

here I have to thank my wise mother again for buying me a great flash light for my bike. It was getting pitch black. But as I still had power in my phone, or rather, in my power bank, I used it to find an easier way back. It was easier except for a few mistakes which led to strange outbursts on the tracklog. One of this outbursts led to one of the two best sights I found in the area over a few times. Breathtaking! You can look down a valley which is orientated almost exactly east west, you see even France, and in the light of dusk it was powerful. Couldn't take images though because of the dim light.

After a long ride home where I eventually used the track from 2015-08-20 48 8 I was really happy. And my family too, because it was dark and cold outside.

It's a tron by the way!
