Plans
According to the map the hash was in in southern Cologne, obviously easy to reach by tram and streets.
Expedition
Departure
This hash was relatively near my first hash so I could reach it by tram again. I left at the station Michaelshoven. A bus could have transported me nearer to the coordinates but the route was around the Sürth region so it was faster - or at least more adventurous - to walk. Or, in my case, to jog.
Motto: "When life gives you a distance, then jog."
The way
After about 2 km I reached the Wilhelm-Leibl-Straße without any remarkable views or events (well, it was dark and rainy and only few people were on the streets). The street itself had houses on the right side and a strip of wood on the left side.
Wood or not
I mused whether the collection of trees between two streets were already a wood - or something less for I could see the houses behind the wood-or-else even now. As typical in Germany, this question is answered in law, the Bundeswaldgesetz: "Wald im Sinne dieses Gesetzes ist jede mit Forstpflanzen bestockte Grundfläche". Great. But it gives no minimum size. The UN say "Wald muss eine Mindestfläche von 0,5 Hektar haben." That's 5000 Quadratmeter (qm2). With a map I calculated the size and got over 13000 qm2 so it was a wood by UN definition.
At the coordinates
I walked along the street and entered the unfenced... yes, wood. After some steps I already was at the hash. Of course, now the usual follow-the-coordinates followed, nicely inconvenient. But not a big adventure, not even a small one. So I made my pictures and went back to the station.
At last I took a photo of the tram, so this expedition became my first Public Transport Geohash!
