Expedition
So I was checking the coordinates and ask openstreetmap for a possible route and found out, that graphhopper provides routes, that could be saved as GPX-Files for a GPSr. Also this hash was a good opportunity to test my new GPSr mount for the bike handle.
I took off around noon and just stoppend at the university to see if there was someone to grab lunch in the canteen. Well, the food is not the best, but it's food and the price is ok, too. This all let to a little delay, but while other people write their finals, I can take a day off. Hihihi.
I drove through Kiel down to the Förde to take a ferry to the other side. Then the Schwentine valley followed. But at one point you have to get out of it. So it was a really steep slope (for northern german circumstances). The problem was: When you live near the universtiy and usually walk; I haven't used my bike in the last half year, though I used it more often in the past. Anyway. I liked the fact, that most of the route want westward so I got the wind in my back.
Some kilometres befor Tökendorf I stopped at a rock pile because I thought: Yay, new stones for markers. I like marker stones because it's a funny way to freak out future archaeologists. But while I searched for good stones I heard a voice in my back: "May I ask what you are searching there?" Some farmer (?) stood on the balcony of the nearby house and watched me. So I told him I searched for two simple stones but not why. I was greatful I could take them with me.
After some more kilometres I finally reached the field with the location for today. The fence was open and there was no cattle, so I entered. went up a little hill and reached the point, took some Photos and got on the way back. Now there where much much more clouds in the sky and I wasn't sure that I would get back in dry clothes. I also wanted to check the nearby Geocache but unfortunately I forgot to hit the save button when I typed in the coordinates. So no cache at the hash.
The way back was so much harder. A steady wind blew with around 20 km/h, my legs where tired an tried to kill me. Every little slope was hard. You may laugh now (especially the southern Germans) but I did it, 38 fucking kilometres in total. After the ferry my bottom hurt as well. So I went on foot back home.
In conclusion: It was somehow funny, and still there is no greater sense in it. The GPSr mount works good, maby to good, because parts of my thumbnail while I tried to dismount the GPSr.
Back home I found out that the Geocache was located about 168 m northwest to the hashpoint.
