This is being written about five years late so a few details may be a little foggy, but we definitely reached the hash.
Location
In a park in Sunshine.

Plans
At some point early in the week Cam asked Lachlan if he wanted to do a geohash soon. Lachlan agreed and they made plans to do one soon. On Saturday Cam and Tom were at a party with their friend Tom and they decided that the Sunshine geohash the next day would be a fun bike ride.
Expedition
Lachlan probably left his house in Coburg and rode to where Tom and Cam probably lived in Flemington. They probably rode down the Moonee Ponds Creek bike path, paused/posed for a photo near the docks and then headed west.
After a lovely ride along a bike path that followed a train line, they found the point in a park at 1:36pm. A screenshot of a GPS was probably taken but it's long gone. The panorama with silos in the background will serve as proof of success.
Feeling pleased with themselves, Lachlan, Cam and Tom rode to a nearby Vietnamese place and enjoyed some pho.
