Expedition

I was conveniently visiting my workplace in Helsinki, when this hashpoint popped up at Meilahti, about 3 km away. After work, at 20:00, I started my expedition from the Helsinki City Center. There had been about 25 cm snowfall in the last week, and the streets were in quite a bad shape. As I also didn't bring cycling apparel with me at all, I decided to use the public transport.

I boarded tram 4 going northwards, and it took me through the snowy streets near my destination in Meilahti. I hopped out and walked the remaining 500 meters to the parking lot of the hospital. I had to wait a while for my gps to get a fix on the satellites, but then it guided me to the center of the parking lot. At 20:35 I got the fix. I took some pictures and admired the snowy trees (mainly Sorbus aucuparia, Betula pendula and Pinus sylvestris) before heading back to the tram stop. Mission successful!
