I was passing through Leimen anyway on that day to put up some posters and noticed the hash was just a quick detour.
Expedition
The road ended at a gate warning people that the area was under camera surveillance. Probably due to the fishing club nearby who doesn't want to have their fish caught by unauthorized fishermen. However, it was just a gate, the area wasn't completely fenced. After a couple of meters of fighting through dense brush I got close enough, took two very unspectacular photos (selfie not possible due to darkness), and drove off again.
