While I could have gone to the Buffalo Hash for today, it was well into the woods and would have been a bit difficult to get to. While I normally don't mind that, especially for an Allegany hash, I decided to take it easy this weekend. Plus this hash in the Lockport Graticule was very close to the Beer Supply store. I've been meaning to buy another Beer Kit for a while and this is the perfect excuse to drive to the Northern Suburbs of Buffalo.

First thing I did on Saturday morning was review what kind of kits they had to offer and I found an IPA called Paul's IPA. I'm not really a fan of the West Coast IPAs (far to bitter for me), but this one was and 'Old Style' IPA which sounded interesting. Noticing the Store Hours, I realized I wouldn't be able to go for an Official Saturday Meetup since they closed up at 15:00 and I didn't want to sit in the car for an hour doing nothing.

Around Noon, I made some lunch and hopped in the car to drive over. I stopped to pick up my Beer kit first and then drove over to the hash. The Phone GPS gave some really weird directions when I was supposed to be turning onto the street with the hash, so I ended up going around the block. Getting to the Hash area, I turned around to park on the other side of the street as there was a spot right there. I hung out in the car for a minute, because there was a guy walking down the sidewalk with a garbage bag. He stopped at the dumpsters near the hash to drop off the bag and headed back, presumably to his apartment. With the coast clear, I walked over to the hash using the HashDroid App but when I stopped at the hash, the reading kept going and I had to do a bit of a GPS dance anyway to get a good reading. With some pictures taken of the surrounding area, I headed for home just as the skies started to sprinkle with rain.

On the drive back, I thought I should have thrown a couple golf clubs in the car and I could have hit a bucket of practice balls at the range that was also pretty close. However, with the rain starting to fall, I would likely have passed on that anyway.

I made the beer the next day and from the initial taste, I think it'll turn out to be pretty good. Can't wait to try it in a couple weeks.
