With the weather pretty nice, I wanted to go for a bike ride after work. With this hash within riding distance, I thought this might be reachable based on the Satellite pictures. There appears to be a set of power wires running near this hash where the trees are cleared out. If this is not posted, I might have a chance to make it to the hash if the woods on the edges isn't posted.
In all honesty, I was kind of hoping for a No Trespassing here, because walking through the woods that far in cycling cleats would be a bit awkward, but I at least gotta check it out being this close.
I used a similar route to the 2020-06-20 expedition to get to this hash riding for a bit along Old Lakeshore Road and working my way to Route 5 before finding the turn on Derby Road. I think I could have gotten closer going down Wisconsin, but that section was lined with houses and definitely had no access. Locating the pull-off for the Power Lines, I was surprised but not disappointed that there was a posted sign right there. I was thinking I would have to at least walk in a bit to get a No Trespassing for this one.
With the expedition essentially ended, I enjoyed the rest of my bike ride working my way into Eden and riding home along Route 62 back to Hamburg.
