The day started out good and I knew this would be an easy hash to get to. I had a meeting at 20:00 to update and validate a setting in our system at work, but I figured there would be plenty of time between 17:00 and when I had to be back online to make the change.

A short while after checking the Hashpoints, I got called into a crisis/firecall meeting because our users couldn't reach out and get important data from a connected system. There really wasn't anything I could do, but I had to listen in. The call lasted all day and as we were approaching 18:00, I was thinking I was running out of time to be able to get to this hash. Fortunately, right around then, they were able to figure things out and get the systems talking again. With my time crunched, I still thought I had enough time to get to Wegman's (grocery store) for a few things and hit the hash.

I ended up spending more time than I wanted at Wegman's, but I also was able to get a sub for dinner (and lunch the next day; those things are huge). Eating my sub on the way, I was able to arrive a little after 19:00 and get some pictures without having to do much of a GPS dance at all. I was able to get a good reading the first time I crossed the street and grabbed a screenshot before the numbers jumped up again. On the drive up, it started sprinkling, but the rain really wasn't that bad while I was getting my pictures.

With about 40 minutes until I needed to be back online, I wasted no time getting back on my way. I knew it was going to be close, and a few times on the drive, I thought I was going to be late. Turns out I was able to get home with a few minutes to spare and was online right on time!

It was really close, but I sure needed a good expedition after a day like today.

The update took literally less than a minute, and we were able to make the verifications without any issues, so the day ended well at least.
